The WHIP membership is made up of partner groups who have signed a memorandum of understanding, dating back to 2010 and updated every five years. From those partners, a Steering Committee is formed and from that committee, officers are elected. The WHIP Steering Committee meets every other month, and also holds an Annual Meeting for all partners. WHIP is governed by a set of bylaws and directed by a strategic management plan.
This document guides the roles and responsibilities of our steering committee and coordinator, and can be updated at any regular WHIP meeting. Current updates to be voted on in November 2024.
This document clarified our mission and outlines our top five organizational goals, with action steps listed under each. Revised most recently in 2016 and currently being updated.
Our invasive species management plan guides our actions when new species are reported, and helps prioritize our response for WHIP and WHIP partners. Due for updates in 2025.
